ValueThisCompany.com was developed by Christopher M. Tarpley, a practitioner in the field of acquisitions for more than 15 years. Mr. Tarpley has played a leading, managerial role in over 15 completed acquisitions while working for different acquiring companies. About half of those acquisitions were with a Fortune 500 company. Annual sales for acquired companies range from $250,000 to over $75 million. He also led valuation analysis of companies with annual sales over $500 million.

He has extensive experience with valuation principles having developed the acquisition model for what is now a $5 billion company. That tool was used to value hundreds of acquisition candidates for presentation to the executive staff.

He has been a Vice-President of large and small companies for over eight years, primarily in the area of business development. This experience brings the unique perspective of someone who actually lives with the acquisition, long after the advisors are gone.

Mr. Tarpley has a bachelors degree in business from Texas Christian University and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has also completed executive education at The Wharton School in Pennsylvania.
